There's Always Something Going on in Arizona


Glendale, Arizona is a suburban community of about 250,000 people nine miles northwest of Phoenix. Glendale began as a commercial center to help farmers get their fruits, vegetables and livestock to market. In the late 1800s, the family attracts community for a reliable supply of water, rich farmland and a strict anti-alcohol policy. By 1895 the rail link was established in Phoenix, Glendale and soon became the largest city in the Salt River Valley. In a short time, developed the Glendale center with shops, theaters, banks and other companies. Much of the historic city center remains intact. Tour historic buildings are popular activities for visitors.

Sahuaro Ranch Park historic area offers tours to the ranch's original structure and the beautifully restored vrtove.17-acre ranch based on a scene many special events. One very popular event, an antique tractor and engine show in February.

Glendale is known for antiques and counts as an "antique capital of Arizona." Walking the streets of historic downtown Glendale there are many ancient sites. Street performers provide entertainment for the stroller, and when you tire of walking-coach tours provide districts.
