2009 is specific to be an extraordinary year for Miami Dolphins fans.
Immediately after a tumultuous 2007 campaign that saw the Dolphins finish with 1 win and fifteen losses, 'phin fans discovered themselves looking for a win and themselves.
In the offseason, Miami nabbed football phenom Bill Parcell's to head up their entire football operations and added small known, former Dallas Cowboys assistant coach Tony Sparano to assume position as head coach of the team.
Dolphins fans weren't very confident how to take it. It was a lot of alter in a short amount of time but when you are as bad as they had been, in some cases adjust is necessary.
In 2008, the Dolphins stormed via the normal season, finishing with an overall record of eleven wins and five losses, including an AFC East Divisional Championship and a trip to the playoffs. Considerably of their good results has been attributed to their newly installed, modified "Wing-T" offense which they have dubbed, the "Wildcat" offense. You'd be hard pressed to find any one who has successfully run any variation of the wing at the specialist level in decades, but Miami caught so various teams off guard with it.
A few brief months ago, in the NFL draft, Miami scored high marks for grabbing Vonte Davis to anchor their suspect secondary and quarterback Pat White. The athletic White is expected to excel in heading up the Wildcat offense and compete for the starting role with Chad Pennington.
Developing off of their achievement in 2008 and bringing in some fresh players who will do nothing but add to that success in 2009, it really should be expected that the Dolphins will when once more fight for an AFC East championship and a playoff berth. Dolphins fans should not delay in ordering their tickets and miss an opportunity to watch the greatest show on turf, live.
